A recruiter spends on average only 6 seconds reviewing an individual CV* so you need to make sure yours stands out.

If you are writing your CV to apply for a social care job, there are a few things that you must make sure are clearly marked:

  • Your current job title, start date and end date,
  • Your previous positions including start date and end date,
  • Your education and any relevant qualification such as NVQ in social care or the care certificate
  • A list of your relevant training.

* This is based on The Ladders Eye Tracking Study. The Study monitored eye movements of 30 professional recruiters over a 10 week period, using a scientific technique called ‘eye tracking’ and revealed that the recruiters only spent 6 seconds reviewing an individual CV, despite the recruiters reporting that they spend longer.
