Chloe Bishop - Care Assistant - Walsall
Wednesday, January 16, 2019
This month we’ve been chatting to Chloe Bishop, a Care Assistant working with our Walsall Branch.
With a back ground in residential care, Chloe joined us in September 2017 because she wanted to find flexible work to fit around her Studies. Chloe has a passion for care and a natural desire to help others and we know that she will go on to be a great Mental Health Nurse, once qualified.
Vicky wanted to find out why Chloe chose to start her career in care and what it’s like to work for Cream Health Care.
What got you into care? I’ve always enjoyed helping others in need and caring for others. I feel that working in care is an excellent stepping stone into nursing and has given me some insight into the type of nursing I want to study. I have been accepted at Liverpool University to study Mental Health nursing next March and I’m very much looking forward to it.
What’s it like to work for Cream Health Care? It’s great, I find the agency very friendly and easy going. There are lots of options for shifts and I find that the work is both regular and flexible.
Do you feel like you are supported by the branch? I am definitely supported by the branch. Both Jo and Vicky are very supportive, understanding and helpful. They are aware of the services that I like to work at and the types of shifts that suit me.
Do your hours suit you? Yes, I am able to work for Cream and study. If I need some time out for my studies I’ll inform the branch and they ensure that I am not disturbed. It really works for me.
Do you have any specialities, passions or favourite care homes? I really enjoy working at Limewood. Assisting people with dementia and challenging behaviour is something I am very passionate about and I find this work very rewarding.
Do you have a passion for care like Chloe? Do you put dignity and respect at the heart of everything that you do? If you do, then please get in touch. You can call the branch on 01922 219026 or apply for a job through our jobs page on our website.
