This month, Vicky has been chatting with Georgina Anyan, a Care Assistant working with our Walsall branch.
Georgina has been working in the Health & Social care sector since 2011, and has a wide variety of experience. Georgina has worked for Cream Health Care previously and left to gain further experience in domiciliary and home care. However Georgia missed the flexibility of working for an agency and decided to rejoin Cream. Georgia is a very hard working, diligent, passionate and professional member of staff who we are proud to have as part of the team.
Vicky wanted to know why Georgina chose to have a career in care and what she thinks about working for Cream Health Care.
What got you into care?
I have a passion for helping people, I feel that I’ve always had this passion. I wanted to get into Care work for such a long time. I then had children and concentrated on my family, once my children grew up I perused a career in care knowing that I really enjoyed it.
How long have you been working for us?
I joined Cream Health Care in September 2015 and worked for Cream for one year before I left to gain further experience in Domiciliary and home care. I then re-joined Cream in May this year.
What’s it like to work for Cream?
It’s really good, I have no complaints.
Do you feel like you are supported by the branch?
Yes I feel supported by the Walsall branch and the Stoke branch. They’re both good teams and are both really helpful should I need advice and support.
Do your hours suit you?
Yes the hours suit me and I’m able to work around my family and other commitments. I have regular work each week.
Do you have any specialities, passions or favourite care homes? Does Cream try to place you at care homes where they know you enjoy?
I don’t have a favourite home, I really enjoy every home that I have worked at. I have worked at Old Vicarage, St Peters, Swallowfileds, Selbourne House, Limewood, Bracken House, and Furlong House. A variety of service from Extra Care, to residential care. The variety suits me and keeps things interesting.
Do you have a passion for care? Do you put dignity and respect at the heart of everything that you do?
If you do, then please get in touch. You can call our Walsall branch on 01922 641989 or apply for a care job through our website’s jobs page.
