For August, we have been talking to Leslie Stonier, a care worker with our Stoke branch.
Leslie joined the Cream Team in May 2015 and has become a very dedicated and reliable teammate. We always hear nothing but praise and positive feedback from the homes that he works in. Leslie is such a dedicated care worker that his wife knows his schedule and can confirm last minute shifts if Leslie is working or unreachable. Now that’s dedicated!
Anna sat down Leslie to find out what it’s like to be a care worker for Cream Health Care.
What is it like to work for Cream?
“I do enjoy going to all the different places and working with different people. Nice to not be in one place all the time. Especially when you go somewhere new. Being able to use all skill sets in different environments as each place has individual needs.”
Do you feel like you are supported by the branch?
“Oh yeah! If I phone up and say something has happened details are always taken and matters are handled quickly and efficiently. Always greeted very friendly by staff.”
Do your hours suit you?
“Generally yes. Things crop up now and then and I am always accommodated when needed.”
Does Cream try to place you at care homes where they know you enjoy?
“I like being flexible and going where I’m needed, even at short notice. The nature of agency isn’t always getting to plan ahead.”
Do you have any specialities, passions or favourite care homes?
“Mount Pleasant is one of my favourites. Eros Crescent – Selbourne Care always has friendly people. High Lane is a good one too very pleasant staff and service users.”
Leslie, care workers like you are a one in a million and we cannot thank you enough for your hard work.
Do you have a passion for care? Do you put dignity and respect at the heart of everything that you do?
