Marva Jones - Care Assistant - Walsall Branch

This month Jo has been chatting to Marva Jones, a Care Assistant working with our Walsall Branch, to find out why Marva chose a career in care and what it’s like to work for Cream Health Care.

“My Dad was poorly and this inspired me to help others as I had always been interested in the welfare of other people and I recognised I could make a difference to the lives of others who also needed help and support.

I have only been working for Cream for the last six months but I used to work for another agency and I have found Cream to be the best. The staff in branch are understanding and adaptable. They look after you if there are any problems and always there to help.

I feel part of the Cream Team even though I may be in a different home every day and it’s also really nice when I see another member of staff in a Cream Health Care uniform in the same home I am working in.

I can pick and choose my hours as I want, which suits me. The flexibility is a plus for me and the different homes. It’s lovely meeting residents and new staff, they make me feel part of their team although I am agency.”

Marva has been working in the Health & Social Care sector since 2017 and has a wealth of experience.  We were delighted that Marva decided to join Cream Health Care and has been an absolutely invaluable member of staff since starting 6 months ago. She is such a kind natured, caring person whose personality is perfectly suited for a career in care. Marva even comes to visit us in the office weekly…very often with cake!!  :)
