Meet Terina, she has been with Cream since January 2022 and has proven to be one of our most reliable and popular staff in the Telford area. Terina has been working in care since 2019. and joined Cream for the flexibility to fit around her family life.
What motivated you to get into care?
I had been with the Military for many years and when I moved to Telford I really wanted a job that would allow me to give something back
What’s it like to work for Cream?
I love it, I have a busy lifestyle and I love the flexibility of being able to choose my own hours
How long have you been working for us?
I started in January 2022
Do you feel like you are supported by the branch?
There is always someone there when I need them, I know they work hard to get me the shifts I need at the places I like
Do you feel part of the Cream Team even though you might be at a different home every day?
I tend to work most of my shifts at Oakwood although everywhere I go they treat me as they would one of their own staff. At Oakwood in particular though I feel like I’m part of the furniture there!
Do your hours suit you?
I work earlies or lates depending on what I have on in each week. The hours could not be better suited for me. It works really well
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
When I finish a shift and I know I have given something back and helped to make someone’s life more comfortable
Does Cream place you at homes where they know you enjoy working?
I have only really worked at 4 or 5 services since I started and I get the majority of my shifts at my first choice places.
Do you feel welcome and supported at the homes you go to?
Yes, they have all treated me really well and I genuinely feel part of the team when I work my shifts
If there was any aspect of your role with Cream that you could change, what would it be and why?
Nothing, I’m quite adaptable and I can fit most roles, I really enjoy my job and I’m delighted I chose to sign up with Cream
