National Gardening Week 2021
Thursday, April 22, 2021
It’s National Gardening Week next week. Organised by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), it’s the UK’s biggest annual celebration of gardening and is taking place from Monday 26 April to Sunday, 2 May 2021.
This year, the theme of the week is ‘getting your daily dose of Vitamin G’!
“Vitamin G is ‘green’, and research has shown that getting a daily dose improves our sense of personal wellbeing,” explains RHS Director of Science, Professor Alistair Griffiths.
The RHS want to celebrate the feel-good power of plants and gardens and all next week they will be highlighting the scientific links between gardens and wellbeing as well as sharing easy tips on how to get your daily does of Vitamin G.
What does National Gardening Week have to do with Social Care or even Cream Health Care, I hear you say?
Well, as some of you may already know, Jenny, our MD is a keen gardener. When Jenny is not at work or drinking real ale, she can be found in her garden. Through every season and through all weathers, Jenny loves nothing more than pruning, weeding and planting.
So in celebration of National Gardening Week, we’ve asked Jenny to share her top five gardening tips to help keep your garden in tip top condition so you can enjoy it even more.
Jenny will be sharing one of her top gardening tips every day next week on our Facebook Page and on Twitter.
