Training For Temps - REC Campaign

The Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) are asking the government to broaden the Apprenticeship Levy so that workers on more flexible and temporary contracts can benefit from the Apprenticeship Levy, which was introduced in April 2017. 

The REC wants the Education Secretary to reform the current levy so that nearly one million temporary workers can access Ofsted regulated training courses.

We started paying the levy this year but we can’t access the apprenticeship levy to train our temporary staff which seems unfair to us.
