Claudette Miller - Care Worker, Cannock

Claudette has worked in the care sector since 2007, seven of those years were with one care home for the elderly.  Since then Claudette has enjoyed agency work, gaining experience in a variety of settings. Claudette was in a car accident the morning she came for her interview with us and she parked her car at the side of the road and got a taxi just so she can attend the meeting!  Claudette’s bubbly personality shines through and she always makes us laugh at the office. She is an asset to Cream and is always there to help with shifts last minute. Thank you Claudette!

Dave sat down with Claudette to find out what it’s like to work as a care worker for Cream?

“I have a caring nature, and feel I am a very caring person. I got into care as I wanted to give something back to people who need care. It is great working for Cream, I am able to be flexible and Cream pay me very well. Everyone in the branch are lovely (especially Dave!), I can talk to the office staff about anything that is going on and they resolve any problems that I may have promptly and effectively, I’m supported brilliantly by everyone at the branch.”

“Swallowfields and Moxley are both homes I enjoy going to. There has been lot of changes but have adjusted and if I have any problems then I can always speak to the management team at the homes about anything and they always try to help.”

Claudette joined Cream Health Care only six months ago so we asked her what she thought of our interview process.

“It was very good, very friendly asked the right questions and supported you with the paperwork. Jenny is very lovely lady, very down to earth and a bit posh but in a nice way (hope she won’t mind me saying) very comfortable to talk to.”
