This month, Vicky has been chatting with Roxana Moldavan, a Care Assistant working with our Walsall branch.
Roxana has been working as a care assistant since 2015. In Romania Roxana is a qualified Nurse and is looking at re-training to be able to be a RGN in the UK. Roxana has gained experience working with Dementia, Huntington’s and other mental health conditions. Roxana is a valued member of the Cream Team, and everywhere Roxana has worked she has become an asset to the teams and has made valued differences to the lives of the service users that she has cared for.
Vicky wanted to know why Roxana chose to have a career in care and what she thinks about working for Cream Health Care.
What got you into care?
I have a passion and a need to work in care. I feel that I am a very caring person, I enjoy caring for people and ensuring that they receive dignity and respect that they deserve when being cared for. I feel that care is my calling and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
In Romania I’m qualified as a nurse, a vocation that I love and I am currently in the process of retraining to become a nurse in the UK.
How long have you been working for us?
I have been working for cream since September 2017, and I really enjoy it.
What’s it like to work for Cream? Do you feel like you are supported by the branch?
It’s a pleasure working for Cream Health Care. I’m able to keep track of my income weekly on line through webroster, I have a great relationship with the team and staff I work with regular on shift.
I feel 100% supported by the branch, if I have any problems I feel that they are dealt with quickly and professionally by Dave and Vicky. I feel that I can speak to Dave and Vicky whenever I need to, they are really friendly and helpful.
Do your hours suit you?
The hours suit me, Dave and Vicky always try and find work that accommodates my availability. There has been times when I’ve needed to finish a shift early due to family commitments, Dave and Vicky have always been really helpful and worked with the service I’m assigned to, to enable me to finish earlier when needed.
Do you have any specialities, passions or favourite care homes? Does Cream try to place you at care homes where they know you enjoy?
I like all the services that work at. I like Meadowythe as it’s not far from where I live. I also like Bracken House as the staff there are so friendly and I really like the residents. I also enjoy working at Limewood. I’m always given a variety of work and choice of places that I can work.
