This month, Jo has been chatting with Viv Horobin, a care assistant working with our Stoke-On-Trent branch.
Viv has a vast amount of care experience, having worked in Healthcare for over 30 years in a variety of settings. Viv is a dedicated, passionate carer and the care homes love her – we only ever hear positive feedback from the care homes and support services that Viv has been assigned to. We are proud to have Viv as part of the Cream Team and are thankful for her positive, "can do" attitude to every shift we offer her. Thank you Viv!
Jo wanted to know why Viv chose to have a career in care and what she thinks about working for Cream Health Care.
What got you into care?
I first got into care by helping my Nan, and then I started to realise that I truly enjoyed caring for people. It was convenient for me when I had my children and fitted around my lifestyle.

Over 12 months
What’s it like to work for Cream Health Care?
Love it! The staff are really friendly
Do you feel like you are supported by the branch?
Yes I feel like I am supported and the training is always kept up to date.
Do your hours suit you?
Yes they are great, very flexible and they work around my daughter and I; as we both work for Cream and can work shifts that fit around our lives.
Do you have any specialities, passions or favourite care homes? Does Cream try to place you at care homes where they know you enjoy?
I like all aspects of care, whether it be working with Elderly, Learning Disabilities or Dementia. I really enjoyed working at Heathfield House, and Cream always place me in homes I enjoy going to.
